1. How accurate is mobile phone tracking and can a mobile be tracked even when it is turned off?
The position will show the last known location (with an accuracy of up to 50 metres) based on a live feed, or the last known position of the phone or last position before going out of coverage. (Vodafone only)

2. Do you send a text message to the mobile each time it is tracked?
No. We do send occassional reminder texts, but these are not when tracking takes place and do not need to be replied to!

3. Will I be charged for tracking a phone even if the result returns an error?
Yes, this is the current policy of the networks, but it may change in the near future.

4. Does the map change scale?
The map is adjusted based on position accuracy (i.e. in rural areas the scale is higher due to less accuracy). The more mobile phone masts there are in an area, the more accurate the triangulation can be and from this a more accurate position can be calculated.

5. Will networks other than O2, Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile be supported?
Currently 3 and Virgin networks do not offer tracking facilities.

6. Is there a maximum number of mobile phones that can be tracked on each account?
No. But every phone added requires 5 credit extra tracks to set up.

7. Can I locate a mobile outside of mainland Great Britain/N. Ireland?
Not at present. If the phone is on the Vodafone network, then if a mobile has left the UK a trace will show the last known position within the UK before it was switched off.

8. Will mobile phone tracking work on contract and Pay As You Go phones?
Yes, as long as they are on O2, Vodafone, Orange or T-Mobile.

9. Can I get a mobile trace report sent to my mobile?
No, not as SMS text, but you can have an emailed report if the device can receive email.

10. Is mobile phone tracking legal?
Yes, as long as the person being tracked has given their permission for mobile tracing to take place.

11. Can someone track my phone without my permission?
You will need to reply to a text message sent to your phone in order to permit the phone to be tracked. If you have not replied to such a message your phone cannot be tracked.

12. Does this mobile tracking service work on Facebook?
No. Facebook's Social Network Integrated Friend Finder (SNIFF) tracking is a different application.

13. Is there any difference in your service to Google's latitude mobile phone tracking?
Yes. Google's latitude mobile phone tracking only works via GPS tracking so the phone needs to have a GPS chip for Latitude tracking to work. Our system works on any mobile phone.
